The H2Accelerate TRUCKS project will be presented at the Transport Research Arena (TRA) 2026, taking place from 18 to 21 May 2026 in Budapest. The project will showcase a Volvo fuel cell truck at the Volvo Group booth.
This demonstration highlights the project’s ongoing work to support the deployment of hydrogen-powered heavy-duty vehicles for long-distance freight transport in Europe. The vehicle on display is equipped with 700 bar hydrogen storage technology and is designed to achieve a driving range of over 600 km, reflecting the current state of development towards commercial readiness in real-world logistics operations.
Participation in TRA 2026 provides an opportunity to showcase project progress and engage with a wide range of stakeholders, including industry representatives, policymakers, and researchers. Visitors will be able to explore the vehicle and exchange views with project partners on achievements, challenges, and next steps towards scaling up hydrogen-powered freight transport across Europe.
More information about the event, including the full programme and agenda, is available on the official TRA 2026 website.
